Products I like: Cliff Bars

I tend to get dizzy and nauseous when I do not eat when my body wants it.  For that reason I keep snacks in my purse.  My Dad actually suggested Cliff Bars.  He seemed like he was obsessed with them, as he would buy boxes of them all the time, but now I know why.  THEY ARE DELICIOUS!!!  I have had the Oatmeal Raisin Walnut one and the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut one!  Both I would highly recommend.  They are really good for you too!  Only 240 calories and packed with tons of fiber and raw ingredients!  Try them!  Yum Yum!

Products I like: Baby Bell Lipgloss

One product I really like and would pay the money for is Baby Bell Lipgloss!  It is SO good!  I have quite a few Baby Bell Lipglosses but the one I always have on me is the one called "Quenched".  It does not really have a taste or color and gives a really nice shine that lasts!  GET IT!  It will change your view of lipgloss and chapsticks!!  Well worth the $4.00 you spend on it!

Owen is 11 months old!

Oh man.  OWEN IS 11 MONTHS NOW!!!!  HOLY CRAP!  Time flys!  I can not believe my little son will be a year old in just a month!  It really is amazing.  I can not believe all the changes he has been through this year!  Like Greg said, he went from doing nothing, not even being able to roll over (although from birth, he almost could) to walking, talking, eatting real food, feeding himself, having his own cute personality, laughing soooo much, having his own likes and dislikes, etc.  He is SO smart and ahead of the curve!  He started walking at 10 months really well!  He is pretty much a pro now!  Owen is so tough!  He falls and bumps himself and gets right back up and continues on!  He is a tough little guy!  I am SO proud of him!
 
I will say, and this is probably TMI, but I LOVE that he gets SO excited to nurse off me!  When he see's me getting the boppy out, he crawls or walks SO fast to me making him UH UH sound out of his mouth with a HUGE smile!  He LOVES it!  When I pick him up to put him on the boppy to nurse him, he says UH UH UH and flips his legs in excitement, starring at my breast until I take it out.  Then he signs with releif as it is in his mouth.  :o)  I LOVE IT!  Love that I can provide for my son in a way that no one else can and that he loves it so much!!  He is such a cutie pie!  I am also proud of my body for producing enough for him up through 11 months and still going!  It was a long (rough sometimes) road but I am grateful God gave me the ability to produce and Owen to latch on so well and quickly, that I was able to nurse for as long as I did and will until he is one!  :o)  Praise God!!  He knew how much I wanted and needed that.

With that being said, I know once it is over I will be upset and probably feel like I'm not providing to Owen like I should be because that part is over but new parts will start.  Self feeding, eatting grown up foods, etc!  That will be exciting!  Also will be nice to not be on the clock for feeding or pumping.  It will be REALLY nice to not have to pump anymore!!!  I hate that stupid pump!  ha ha.  It was nice to have it because I was able to provide breastmilk for Owen for daycare but I can not wait until I can get rid of that thing!!!!  ;o)

I am getting so excited about Owen's 1st birthday party!!!  It's my 1st kid party I get to through!  And you know me, creative, so I have ALL KINDS of ideas flowing in my mind!  I think I will not go with one specific theme but do all blues and greens for color.  I have a picture in my mind.  Just need to get it out in decorations!!

Greg has done such a GREAT job on our lawn!  That huge terrible pit we had in our backyard will hopefully soon be grass!!  All thanks to my Hubby and all his HARD work!  We are really hoping we have grass by Owen's 1st birthday party.  We both have a view of what we want the party to be like and BBQ, possible fireworks and a possible fire pit fire, are involved in these plans, so it would be nice to have the yard done.  If it does not by then, that is ok but it would be nice!  

There are so many things I want to buy before his party that I think would really make the party look cool!  Like outdoor stuff too!  Lights for under our umbrella, outdoor lights for the shed and our bannister, etc.  They are all on sale too now, that that is good.  Will have to pick them up now!

1st Products Blog: Face Soap

So, I am going to start blogging about different products I use that I really like and different things I try so that, 1. I don't forget them, and 2. anyone that reads this can see what I use/do and what does/does not work for me!  I am definitely going to still be blogging about my family, because they are my pride and joy, but I am going to involve this too.

To start, I have been breaking out lately for some reason.  Not sure why.  However, I have not been using any face soap, just regular soap.  I bought from Walmart "Equate beauty's Blemish Control Apricot Scrub".  Here is what it looks like.

I am hoping it will work out.  I will let you know the progress as I use it.  The bottle states to use it 2-3 times a day.  Will update with how often I use it also.  I will say, with the initial wash, it is very grainy, so if you have sensitive skin, may irritate it.  Luckly I do not.  It smells really good and feels really good on my skin.  My face afterward, felt refreshed, clean and soft!  I'm excited to see if it helps!  I looked at the active ingredients and it is 1% higher in the acne fighting medicine than Neutrogena stuff I was using.  We shall see!!

I found on Pinterest a recipe for a blackhead eraser.  It actually did work!  You take 1 TBSP of Baking Soda and mix it with 1/4 cup milk.  You rub it into blackhead prone area with a soft makeup sponge and then wash off.  It seriously erased it like a magic eraser!  It was crazy! Not sure if it is cleaning it and removing dirt or just the surface but it did work!  Maybe I will put these two together and get super clear skin!!

Owen meets the Easter Bunny

So, we took Owen to get his picture taken with the Easter bunny.  Some kids scream, some kids cry....Owen just was like "Who the hell is holding me!?!"  ha ha.  Every time the bunny would speak to Owen, was a female bunny by the way, it was almost like Owen was saying "Oh yeah, what is this thing holding me again?" Would look back at the Easter bunny and stare...lol.

We were able to get the picture on a DVD so that we can keep it forever!!  Here it is!  Isn't he sooooo cute!?!?

We brought Owen to the St. Patty's Day downtown parade!  We did not stay long because we did not want Owen to get a bad cold and possibley an earache but we did go!

We had so much fun!  It was cool being able to bring Owen to the parade!  I can not wait until he is older and will really enjoy the parade!  Also, why is it always SOOOO cold on St. Patricks Day!?!  AHHH....Oh well.  We still had a blast though!!  I think Owen did also!

My 29th Birthday

So I'm officially 29.  Man does time fly!  My Husband was so sweet to take me to Sybergs to eat dinner and have some drinks with our friends.  The attendee's: Brendan, Makensie, Nick, Matt, Ryan, Rachel, Beth, Josh, Paul and Kerry came.  It was so much fun.  Greg actually bought me a birthday cake in our wedding cake flavors!  IT WAS DELICIOUS and so sweet and thoughtful of him! 

He is so romantic with what he wrote on it.  :o)  I am very blessed to have my amazing Husband!

After Sybergs, Greg, me, Matt, Nick, Ryan, Rachel, Beth and Josh headed to River City Casino where we drank some drinks at Beerhouse!  One of my favorite places! It was so much fun!  I had a great time at my Birthday.  Plus I did not get wasted and was fine when we saw Owen!  It was such a great birthday.  Thanks to my wonderful Husband for making it yet another great year!  Thank you to everyone who showed up!  It meant a lot to me and I sure did have a great time!

The next day, Greg took me to Allstar Tatoo and got my nose peirced!!!  Yay!  I finally did it!  I'm so excited!  I like it a lot!

Greg also got me cash for shopping!!!  Always a GREAT gift!  I bought my Sperry's now! Can't wait to wear them!  I also bought a couple other things already and still have some money to go more shopping with!  YAY!

Owen got me the most perfect gift he could have!  A molding kit for his hand and foot!  Greg knows that I treasure how small they are right now and say that I will miss that and he found the most amazing present for me!  Greg, that was WAY Thoughtful and I GREATLY appreciate it and will forever!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
