5 Months!!

My Sweet little baby boy is 5 months old now!!  WOW has time flew by!!  I look at pictures of him when we brought him home and his 1 month pics and he is really grown!  He is such a darn cute little boy!  I can not get enough of his face!!

He is SOO close to crawling!!  He gets on his hands and he is getting on his knees but keeps his head down and he just scoots everywhere.  It's pretty cute!  He is traveling all over the place!  He rolls everywhere!  It's so cute!  What a mover!

I love the crafty side of me!  Although I could spend all the money in the world on craft stuff and still not have enough!  I love creating things and seeing the end result! Especially when I get complimented on them!

Man, I really need to work out again. Since my 5k I have not ran once.  :o(  Not cool.  I've been so busy with Owen, Greg and our home that I have not had time.  I know everyone says to make sure to make time for yourself but I'd rather be there for my son and Husband than taking time for myself.  I feel I am a better Mom because I'm around Owen and playing with him and his toys rather than being away working out for an hour.  Plus after work we have had so much to do lately that it has been hard to squeeze time in to work out.  I don't like that but nothing will change unless I get more time during the day/night.  Oh well.  Greg and I will have to re-evaluate how we do things at night I guess.  I don't know....I guess can workout during his nap.....if that works out.

I just sucks because my whole pregnancy I hardly put on any weight but afterward, you notice what you need to lose and I can not if I don't work out.  Also, I can not diet yet because I am breastfeeding...so can't do that....  BLAH! Stuck in the middle of not having time to work out and needing to work out....not a good place to be.  At least I don't have a lot to loose.  I have lot a lot already.

It is stressful, hard and tiring being a Mom but SO worth it!!  It definitely is a life changer for sure but I would not change it.  I love Owen SOOOO much!  He brings a smile to my face all the time!  He is so sweet and his smile just melts my heart!  I have so much fun with him!  Whether it's me breastfeeding him, him smiling at me, us playing, me watching him learn, watching him be amazed at things, teaching him, him talking, laughing...etc.  I love it all!  It's funny how your priorities change when you become a Mom.  Now I do not even matter to myself.  It is all about Owen and Greg.....and Cody....lol.  But seriously.  My Husband and my baby boy are the two most important people in my life!!  They mean the world to me!  Greg is my best friend, hands down.  He is the best best friend I could ever ask for!  He's the best friend I've never had.  Listens to me, ALWAYS there for me, looking out for what is best for me, there when I am upset, will stick up for me against anyone, smart, challenges me, sincere, always asks me how I am doing...etc.  We get each other like no one else.  We are the funniest people out there to each other and we have the best times together!  I love spending all my time with Greg.  He is so much fun!!  He is such an amazing person.  I am very fortunate and blessed to have him in my life.
 
Then there's Owen who I instantly fell in love with as soon as I knew I was pregnant!  He continues to deepen that love by being such a cute, funny, smart, loving, sweet little boy!

Check my boys out!  I am SOOO LUCKY!!!  I can't stop saying how lucky and blessed I am!   They both are SO much fun!

My little pumpkin!

This weekend was so much fun!  I think Owen is finally beginning to get over his cold…WOO HOO!!  I really hope so.  Poor baby.  He's had a fever, cough, runny nose and some diarrhea.  I hate it when he is not feeling good.  Plus then I got it.  :o(  But I got a much worse cough than him….at least right now, he is starting to get one so I hope he does not get it as bad as me.  I sounded like I had morning voice all weekend when I spoke.  Not fun.  Still have the cough now but feeling better at least.  So that is good.  My sore throat went away last night so that is better!  It still hurts a little but I'm left with a bad cough.  Not fun…..  Plus since I'm breastfeeding, I can not take anything!  Just have to wait for my body to fight it off.  Worth it to breastfeed by baby boy though!

However, with all that said, we did go to Eckert's on Saturday!  It was our only weekend we could before Halloween so we weren't going to miss that!!

Owen got to pick his first pumpkin!  It was SO much fun!!  He loved seeing all the orange pumpkins!  So bright!  He was such a good boy and such a trooper!  He's been eating every 3 hours and he waited 4 hours before eating and was not crabby or crying ready to eat.  I just knew he was hungry and took him into the SUV to feed him.  He was so quiet and good the whole time!

 It was SO much fun!!  I can not believe Greg and I just brought our baby boy to the pumpkin patch!  We've been going to Eckert's since we first started dating!  So weird that we have a family now!  SO much fun though!  It will only get more fun as Owen grows up, I just know it!

My 1st 5k

So we did it!!  We ran the Glow Run 5k!!  It was SO much fun!!  You know, I was really scared I would have to stop running and walk a lot and would not make great timing but I did not stop running once!!  I ran with my sister in law, who did a great job too, expecially since she was not feeling the greatest, having sinuses act up....

It really was a blast!  Fun run for sure!!  Glad we did it!  I'm addicted now though....I want to do another one!!  Although, I don't think I would ever become a marathon runner....I think I would be too bored to train.  However, after I was done running the 5k, I felt like I could run a ton more!!  It was so great running past that finish line knowing I did not stop once!!  I am SO proud of myself!  I set a goal for myself and followed through!  Plus I'm getting fit after having a baby and getting into shape again! 

I am SO proud of Greg also!  He has been training well and he is such a haus!  He ran the whole time and got a great time!  His endurance is just so awesome.  I wish I had his endurance....I have some but he has a ton more!  I bet he could run a marathon!

I can not wait to see the finishing photo's!  Beth and I held hands over the finish line!  ha ha!  It's going to look SO cute!!

They gave us really cool shirts too!  They are the light runner's shirts!  Plus everyone got a participant metal but it was a really nice metal!  Heavy...nice and glows in the dark!!  Soo cool! We are definitley wanting to do this run again next year!!
